Our StoryOn March 1st, 2007, William Clay Davison was born to his proud parents, Gary and Jinger. Will was a healthy 7 pound 13 ounces- a bit smaller than his sister, Gracie, when she was born, but very healthy. Even though he was healthy, Will required a bit of extra attention. He was born with a condition called Torticollis, which caused by plagiocephally, a misshaping of the head from gravity pulling to one side. Will was receiving Physical Therapy to correct this condition, and he was progressing nicely. Over his nearly five months of life, Will's family enjoyed playing with him and watching him grow. On the evenings, they would sit together on the deck and play with his puppy, Beau. Will's laugh was contagious. He loved to have his tummy and necked kissed. Peekaboo was also something he started with his family....covering his own face and pulling off his "rubbie" to smile gleefully up at them. Will went down for his afternoon nap on July 25, 2007. He passed away in his sleep, a victim of Sudden Infant Death Syndrome (SIDS). This "quiet killer" took Will from the Davisons, but it did not rob them of his spirit. "Will is no longer with us, but we carry the torch of bringing joy to others in the same way that he brought joy to us" -Dr. Gary Davison, Will's father |
